  1. @johnbintz It's cool that you'll be in Charlotte. See you there!
  2. A note to spammers: claiming that the email you sent me is FROM ME does not make you more credible.
  3. Won my poker tournament last night. Now I'm sipping coffee, and waiting for my library shift to begin. Sleep was hard to come by last night.
  4. I'm gonna go play poker. 'Cause it's fun.
  5. The first nightmare last night wasn't so bad, but every time I closed my eyes after that it was all little nasty things with teeth.
  6. So, um, why was there a machete in my ditch? Inquiring minds want to know.
  7. I saw "Eternal Sunshine" tonight for the first time. It was quirky, true, but a lot more genuine than quirky.
  8. My second day at the SILS Library. I'm getting a reputation for hypercompetence. I've had worse reputations.
  9. Veronique Diabolique did a good show last night. The opening band, Post-Honeymoon, had a small-time awesomeness that I could get into.
  10. Starting my semi-volunteer work at the SILS library in about 10 minutes. The place is empty, except for me and the student on the desk.
  11. Off to volunteer at the Carrboro Cybrary. I think it's awesome that libraries offer free computer classes, and better that I can teach them.
  12. Freakin' bathtub spiders are not my friends.
  13. Man, it's funny that D&D is still fun after all these years. There are two girls in the group. Hopefully, that takes the curse off it.
  14. I'm not sorry I'm not at MoCCA this weekend. *sniff*
  15. Man, I need some lunch. What's this, delicious leftovers? You want me to eat you?
  16. I rescued a turtle from the road yesterday. Once I picked it up, I realized it was a SNAPPING turtle.
  17. Once I get an internet connection in the house, I may not ever leave my new sun room.
  18. @dustinharbin Sandburg poems are definitely not in the public domain, alas. The rule in the US is author's death +70 years. Stupid and true.
  19. The new place has water, electricity, and doors I can open. Not bad. And at some point tomorrow I get a truck to put stuff in.
  20. UHaul is failing at communication.
