  1. @cartoongoddess Which company would that be?
  2. Working on upgrading my Flash skills. :-)
  3. Oh, and then afterward, Jane bought me two Gimlets, which were very effective after a general diet of Michelob Ultra-Lite for weeks on end.
  4. Ran 9.1 miles today and then went in and taught my very last class (for now) at Marist. Damn, those students are amazing folks. :-)
  5. Finally got to see Julie and Julia. Loved it!
  6. Reading "The Power of Myth" which expands on the conversations between Bill Moyers and Joseph Campbell. Artists and Writers don't miss this!
  7. @ameliaotte Thanks, Mia. It's been a pleasure and a privilege working with you all! Please consider me a resource beyond my stay at Marist!
  8. The great American psychologist, William James, tells us, "The deepest principle of human nature is the craving to be appreciated."
  9. Completed my last two critiques this week at Marist. I am really going to miss the place and especially my talented students!
  10. I refuse to believe that news stories about Tiger Woods or the White House party crashers are of any importance at all! Stop it, Mr. Media!
  11. Looking forward to competing in my first race in Prospect Park in 10 years, tomorrow!
  12. Went up to North Lake in Catskill Park today and hiked around it in a misty drizzle. I always forget the great places I live right next to!
  13. @ValerieCB Chocolate has many healing powers. I know. :-)
  14. @Pressbound I think my scrapbooking group will love it! :-) Hey, most of my students come into class not even knowing what letterpress IS!
  15. Took delivery of "Under the Dome" today. First SK hardcover in 25 years. The guy tells a story as well as anyone, and it's a long winter.
  16. New discovery: Junior sized peppermint patties work as well as Powergel and Myoplex in recovery from a long run! And they're more fun!
  17. Uncharacteristically, I am pounding away at my MFA Tour Report nearly two weeks before the deadline. Maybe I don't like agita afterall. :-)
  18. Listened to the Kenny Rankin version of Blackbird on the trip home. Nearly did me in.. "You were only waiting for this moment to be free."
  19. Thanks Alibris! Finally located the text used in the ornithology class I took at New Paltz in spring of 1974. Carl Welty's Life of Birds
  20. These last few warm days have been a blessing. Off to Pittsburgh this weekend to the memorial service of an old friend.
