  1. @hisuiRT Exactly. It wasn't a knock on Frontier, don't worry about that.
  2. @petertatara My sci-fi club is showing DYRL. All the new-school fans are going to expect Frontier, but get something waaaay more awesome.
  3. "Professional" games journalism at work! RT @MitchyD: Someone was paid money to "write" this. http://bit.ly/91MkWx
  4. @DickMcVengeance Well it WAS sent back when they were still using the Pony Express to deliver their emails...
  5. @MitchyD Wait a sec, I'll tell you what I think of it after I scroll past the giant video banner ad.
  6. @narutakiRT Golgo 13.
  7. @wildarmsheero Certainly learning the language/living in the country is necessary for serious, high-level (i.e. academic) analysis.
  8. @wildarmsheero But I *would* consider a professional (paid) movie review to be "writing seriously." Not everyone can write a GOOD review.
  9. @wildarmsheero OK, that makes more sense, but I think critiques of the medium are still valid without language/residency.
  10. @wildarmsheero Not an anime *production* industry. But there is an industry that distributes the stuff specifically for Americans.
  11. @wildarmsheero For Roger Ebert to review Pan's Labyrinth, did he need to learn Spanish and live in Spain?
  12. @wildarmsheero That's a little bit elitist, don't you think? We have an anime industry here in America. Why can't Americans write about it?
  13. @sasuraiger Yeah, that's not quite worth my time when I've got finals to study for.
  14. My sci-fi club is showing the Gurren Lagann movie. Barely 5 minutes of new or changed animation so far - time for me to go home.
  15. Reminder: Genericon 2010 press registration is open! Bloggers, podcasters, etc. are welcome. http://bit.ly/6PSNjN
  16. Watched Back to the Future tonight with some friends. I've never seen the whole thing straight through before. Great, great movie.
  17. @scottfrye Wait, but it says $40 up above. Is it some sort of typo?
  18. @scottfrye Holy crap. That is some deal.
  19. @OneGreatTurtle I try, I try.
  20. RT @alexleavitt: Awesome graphix of hipster visual evolution, 2000 - 2009. http://digital.pastemagazine.com/publication/?i=26727&p=29 (v ...
