  1. Dec. 16, 2009 - The H1N1 vaccine is no longer available at the Student Health Center. SHS is seeing only one or two cases of H1N1 daily.
  2. Dec. 7: H1N1 vaccine is available @ Student Health Center clinic, Mon. thru Fri., 9-11 a.m. Cost $12. Only one vaccine shot is required.
  3. The next H1N1 vaccination clinic will be Wednesday, Dec, 2. To register, go to https://saweb.memphis.edu/events/h1n1shots
  4. Next H1N1 vaccination clinic after Nov 18 will be Friday, Nov 20. You will get an email notification as to when you can begin registration.
  5. Next H1N1 clinic is Wed, Nov. 18. Registration is open for everyone:students/staff/faculty (but not retired faculty). Monitor email for info

  8. Nov. 2. UofM hasn't received a shipment of H1N1 vaccine! The # of cases for past few weeks has declined at clinic; now in the teens per day.
  9. Oct. 23 UofM hasn't received any H1N1 vaccine. We're not sure when we'll receive first supply that will be distributed to priority groups.
  10. If pregnant & wish to receive H1N1 vaccine from UofM, check with OB doctor, to get approval, even though CDC has approved it for pregnancy.
  11. When H1N1 vaccine becomes available, it will be administered at the Life Blood Donor Center, 2nd floor of the University Book Store.

  13. UofM will offer the injectable H1N1 vaccine when it becomes available/watch for an email notice on how to register, and the priority groups.

  15. World Health Organization doesn't recommend antiviral drugs for prophylaxis. For people exposed to infected person & are at a higher risk of
  16. developing severe or complicated illness, close monitoring for symptoms followed by prompt early antiviral treatment should symptoms develop
  17. From tests done by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital from specimens we have sent, they have confirmed UofM's ILIs are H1N1 (Swine) flu.
  18. H1N1 (Swine) flu vaccination not available just yet. Information will be available soon, once UofM has received the vaccine.
  19. I was told I had ILI/H1N1 (swine) flu and was treated with Tamiflu or Relenza - do I still need to be vaccinated with H1N1 vaccine? Yes!
