@ The main reason I liked DeRosa was that he could have moved over to second when Valencia is ready.

DeRosa signing (soon) for $6 million makes me wonder how much the Twins still want to spend.

@ I think Hudson might be less risky in some regards. Some people say Lopez is simply a younger Hudson.

@ It's fun to think about, I just hope the Twins will make an attempt to add one more thing to the lineup.

@ The idea of a lineup of Span, Lopez/Hudson, Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Kubel, Hardy, Young, Punto is great.

@ I'd rather see JUST Lopez/Hudson than a lot of money on a back-end starter. We'll see, things are too slow for me right now...

@ There are few options I like better than giving Duensing an opportunity. The money can be spent other ways in some cases.

@ I think teams are skeptical if he can play third. He's never been over there and is switching now in his late-30s.

@ I'm think so too. Kouz at $5 million plus a 5th starter (Doug Davis, etc.) would be solid in my opinion. With Hardy/Mauer deal.

He is the $90 million estimate. It's with several arbitration estimates, Hardy and Pavano, and raises for some players. (Link follows)

@ Also agree that Kouz makes a ton of sense for Perkins. He is expected to get $5 million next season and we don't want Perkins.

@ I'm very afraid they'll simply go with Punto/Crede or something of that sort. The majority of fans would be very upset.

@ The big thing is what do they have room for? With Harris, Punto and Harris, where does he fit? They may keep him though.

@ If they aren't willing to match $6 million per season offer, what do they have left? Are they just looking at Crede for cheap?
