  1. 3B options are running out, what about 2B? http://voicefromtwinsterritory.mlblogs.com/archives/2009/12/what-about-second.html
  2. RT @TheSportsHernia: Prediction: Jaws and Tirico will be wearing actual Viking helmets by the two-minute warning.
  3. RT @SI_JonHeyman: #giants will have announcement tomorow on derosa. done deal, they say. it's $12 mil for 2 years. good move by them.
  4. @twikipedium The main reason I liked DeRosa was that he could have moved over to second when Valencia is ready.
  5. DeRosa signing (soon) for $6 million makes me wonder how much the Twins still want to spend.
  6. @twikipedium I think Hudson might be less risky in some regards. Some people say Lopez is simply a younger Hudson.
  7. @twikipedium It's fun to think about, I just hope the Twins will make an attempt to add one more thing to the lineup.
  8. @twikipedium The idea of a lineup of Span, Lopez/Hudson, Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, Kubel, Hardy, Young, Punto is great.
  9. @twikipedium I'd rather see JUST Lopez/Hudson than a lot of money on a back-end starter. We'll see, things are too slow for me right now...
  10. RT @jaysonst: Now in Rumor Central: DeRosa takes physical for Giants http://proxy.espn.go.com/mlb/features/rumors#4066
  11. @twikipedium There are few options I like better than giving Duensing an opportunity. The money can be spent other ways in some cases.
  12. @twikipedium Here are the four names FoxSports mentioned this week in connection with the Twins: Washburn, Garland, Davis and Myers.
  13. @twikipedium I think teams are skeptical if he can play third. He's never been over there and is switching now in his late-30s.
  14. @twikipedium I'm think so too. Kouz at $5 million plus a 5th starter (Doug Davis, etc.) would be solid in my opinion. With Hardy/Mauer deal.
  15. Pushing $90 million: http://blogs2.startribune.com/blogs/christensen/2009/12/08/pushing-90-a-new-twins-payroll-glance/
  16. He is the $90 million estimate. It's with several arbitration estimates, Hardy and Pavano, and raises for some players. (Link follows)
  17. @twikipedium Also agree that Kouz makes a ton of sense for Perkins. He is expected to get $5 million next season and we don't want Perkins.
  18. @twikipedium I'm very afraid they'll simply go with Punto/Crede or something of that sort. The majority of fans would be very upset.
  19. @natepatrin The big thing is what do they have room for? With Harris, Punto and Harris, where does he fit? They may keep him though.
  20. @twikipedium If they aren't willing to match $6 million per season offer, what do they have left? Are they just looking at Crede for cheap?
