  1. Basic puppy classes are as important as immunizations.
  2. I am tweeting for the first time in eons. Thanks to all followers!
  3. Way too many of us have no idea how to make our dogs psychologically healthy. Watch Cesar Millan and hire a professional!
  4. In older pets, I'm most concerned about reduced mobility (osteoarthritis, for example), periodontal disease, and acquired cardiac disease.
  5. Veterinarians must address behavioral issues in the consultation room. Whining, jumping, and barking are not allowed!
  6. Obesity and periodontal disease in dogs and cats are way too common and should be of utmost importance to all pet owners.
  7. @GatesRay & @chelseyface: thanks very much - the job thus far is wonderful!
  8. I am happy to announce that I've accepted a full-time associate position at Renforth Veterinary Clinic.
  9. @AntoniaZ Kudos on your Star article re: "Terrorism..." Not an iota of a difference between that and a suicide bomber (minus one death).
  10. Seething at the news that "Queers Against Israeli Apartheid" will be marching at Toronto Pride - racism disguised as anti-racism - sick!
  11. It's heartworm season. Have your dog tested and pick up some heartworm prevention!
  12. Alert! Pets suffer from seasonal allergies, too. For most, it manifests as itchy skin: face, ears, paws, belly, etc. http://tiny.cc/YNpOo
  13. Had a wonderful work interview today. Eleven hours is a loooong day...
  14. Blogging, tweeting, typing.
  15. Had a good day.
  16. Ready for my work-interview tomorrow and looking forward to a great day!
  17. Acromegaly: excessive amount of growth hormone is secreted by the pituitary, antagonizing insulin, making diabetes difficult to regulate.
  18. My acromegalic cat's blood glucose is 22.8 (that's 410 in the US). If it were 10 or even 12, I'd be doing cartwheels. -sigh
  19. Discussions with friends and clients about euthanasia are often heart-wrenching...
  20. @antonioarch brushing your pet's teeth is definitely a great idea as periodontal disease is one of the commonest issues in vet med!
