  1. Duly noted that I wrote bergman was only righty in Futile 5 and Klingenbeck also a righty. But wouldn't make difference which hand he used.
  2. @ScottMCBS You got the worst of the worst.
  3. @ScottMCBS It's funny because when I went to the archives to read up on these guys, most of the info was under your bylines. How'd you last?
  4. The official Twins Futile Five Rotation: Bergman Aldred. Klingenbeck ... Read .em and weep. twincities.com/twins/ci_20753…
  5. @michelleisawolf In parts of Kentucky you can do both at the same time.
  6. That's because an impressive number of tickets remain available. RT @Charley_Walters Twins getting impressive walk-up ticket sales.
  7. De Vries went 5, uh, interesting innings and probably is done. I'd give it a "70" but there was no rhythm and you can't dance to it.
  8. @wbllostsoul Yes but just the tiniest bit of command of his pitches would help.
  9. Cole De Vries has pitched 3 scoreless innings so far. And honest to God I can't figure out how.
  10. They'll be delirious to hear Clete Thomas is available RT @Ken_Rosenthal: Source: Padres to sign Jason Marquis. Expected to report to AAA.
  11. Until he gets ass cheek caught in conveyer MT @FSNtylermason Just seeing this picture of R.Rubio for 1st time. Awesome bit.ly/KOvLop
  12. @johnsq316 Someone comparible to Marquis:Greg Harris, signed by Twins from NL (Col.) in 1995. 7 games, 6 starts, 8.82 ERA. Gone.
  13. @sirweeze Before my time so I can't say. I haven't thought too much about the pen. David West sure was awful for several years though.
  14. @johnsq316 I don't know about a couple of those guys "having a chance." But you're right about Marquis appeariing doomed from the start.
  15. @sirweeze I kind of like Brett Merriman in long relief.
  16. @sirweeze But Deshaies had a 7.39 ERA over 25 starts in 1994. He gave up a league leading 30 hrs. in just 130 innings. And 170 hits!
  17. Trying to decide if Marquis cracks my Futile Five (last 25 yrs): Scott Klingenbeck, Benj Sampson, Scott Aldred, Sean Bergman, Jim Deshaies.
  18. @BigLou_22 Just saw the photo. Was barbecuing on Monday with the spatula in one hand and a Sol in the other.
  19. Delmon Young just struck out as pinch hitter. Now meeting Mel Gibson and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for a beer.
