  1. If you always use PowerPoint when you speak, try speaking without it. If you never use it, try using it. You never know.
  2. Public speaking skills are important. If you've got 'em, you have an advantage in your current or NEXT job.

  4. You should treat EVERY group as if it was the important one you'll ever address. You never know who's in the audience.

  8. Reminder: No matter how good a speaker you are, they are forgetting what you say as you say it. Use handouts!
  9. Creating an email newsletter packed with info is a cost effective way to help people and remind them about you.
  10. Before you make that phone call, write down what you want to say. Takes notes. Don't talk too long. Move on.
