The actual idiom is "If worst comes to worst" (not "If worse comes to worst"). The latter is more logical, but it's a modern variation.

Dude, use "the amount of" for things that can't be counted (e.g., stress, hype) and "the number of" for things that can (e.g., wins, shots)!
