  1. Just delivered a full set of custom made pajamas to a winter visitor client. He wanted a golf print in flannel. Another satisfied customer!
  2. Off to the thrift store to see what I can purchase, cut up, and re-purpose. Great fabrics to be found there...
  3. The sun dress for @ktvan is cut out and started, complete with pockets! I can't wait to finish it. You picked great fabrics.
  4. Thanks to my daughter, shannopop, I have a fantastic new twitter background. Now I must get to the machine and sew for her as a thank you!
  5. Organizing patterns today by knits vs. wovens, then by separates, tops, dresses, pants, jackets, etc. Makes pattern retrieval SO much easier.
  6. @shannopop Yes. A great website and concept. Check out the video. I love the 'man class'.
  7. I wish we had a school like The Sewing Studio in the Tucson area. Great idea. Spread the love of sewing!...http://www.lovesewing.com/t...
  8. Sewing a shirt tonight for my husband's birthday tomorrow.
  9. @ktvan Under the tutelage of my daughter, I need to thank you for the recommendation and the compliment about the dress! More to learn....
  10. @CarissaBee Sorry for the slow reply-new to this-please let me know what kind of dress you have in mind. We'll have to exchange some info.

  14. Home from work, going to take a little nap, and then go west coast swing dancing with my husband. Yes, I'll be wearing one of my creations.
  15. Be patient when learning to sew. Give yourself time to learn the new language of home sewing. The results are worth it.
  16. Tip:Use quilting pins or long glass head pins to help pierce through fabric. I prefer these over the standard 1" pin for every application.
  17. @shannopop Glad you like it! What's better than a cool summer dress with pockets?
  18. RT@ shanopop Wearing a turquoise knit dress (with pockets!) today that @TheSewItAll made for me. Dress up/down... http://twitpic.com/9ps5e
  19. Tip: Serge or zig zag the raw edges of your fabric first to help reduce the bundled mess in the washer and dryer. Minimizes lint, too.
  20. I am sewing a jacket right now. Suprisingly, home decorating fabric can be perfect for a short, casual jacket.
