  1. Just home from MLS Playoffs; Galaxy 1-0 over Chivas - Donovan scores on penalty in 73rd. Beckham removes shirt; crowd loses collective mind.
  2. It's Alive! (1968) / Cinema 4 rating: 2 / After meeting Disney's Tommy Kirk, viewed this sludge by his Mars Needs Women director. Oh boy...
  3. Real, live writing back up on The Cinema 4 Pylon! Where and what I've been up to, & what the problem is now. http://tinyurl.com/ccb3zb
  4. Punishment Park (1971) Dir: Peter Watkins / Cinema 4 rating: 8 / Fascinating pseudo-doc... Life if Cheney makes it to the White House again?
  5. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies (2009) Cinema 4 rating: 7 / Some quibbles over 2ndary roles, but B/S v. CapnMarvel/Hawkman battle is shweet.
  6. The Lives of Others (2006) Cinema 4 Rating: 8 / Best Foreign Film in '07 easily could have been Best Picture, compared against noms & winner
  7. Zombieland (2009) Cinema 4 rating: 6 / Not as rich in laughs as "Shaun", but a solid 2nd zom-rom-com... Extended cameo of ?? makes the film.
  8. @ak_hepcat & now I just don't care. Figured out shitty, awful stuff happens every single day, and took my birthday back. Not my fault...
  9. @ak_hepcat Sorry for the delay, pal. Been largely offline for 3 weeks. Just saw the cake pic. That's how it felt the 1st couple years after.
  10. OK, barely done anything online in 3 weeks or so now. Getting easier all the time. But, I guess I'm back this weekend. Too bad for you...
  11. Barely done anything online in a week or so. Haven't missed it at all. Thinking about chucking everything but the Pylon...
  12. Ran into a bout with illness this weekend, so things didn't go quite as I had planned. Back to work AND play this morning. Still not great.
  13. Working on a new piece regarding the D23 convention. Should have the first part up on the blog tomorrow...
  14. @TweeterFlix & I still think Moore is better than Lazenby. GL is a stiff through & through; I just like this effort better than most Bonds.
  15. @TweeterFlix To each his own. :) I just think the film pushes new & more interesting ground for Bond, & seems to have real feelings for once
  16. Sadly, also at Lasseter's D23 show: 4 new Tinker Bell straight-to-DVD movies. JL seemed excited, but it had to be for profit margins only.
  17. More what was what at Lasseter's D23 show: advance preview of artwork, character tests and plot details of next year's Rapunzel film. Nice.
  18. More what was what at Lasseter's D23 show: preview of "Prep & Landing," Disney's new ABC Christmas special due this winter. Stealth elves :)
  19. More what was what at Lasseter's D23 show: Announcement of Winnie-the-Pooh film feat. stories not used in orig. shorts & behind-the-scenes.
  20. More what was what at Lasseter's D23 show: Cars 2 announcements, designs, plot outline & premiere of 2 of 3 new Mater shorts due this winter
