  1. If a section 21 possession notice does not give you at least 2 months notice, it will probably be invalid
  2. Your landlord cannot legally increase your rent just by giving you a letter, he has to use the proper form & give 1 months notice
  3. Agents are obliged by law to give the name and address of your landlord when requested in writing (s1 Landlord & Tenant Act 1985)
  4. When viewing a furnished property, check what furniture will remain in the property if you decide to rent it
  5. Make sure you check the property carefully during your checkin meeting and note any damage on the inventory form before you sign it
