Just finished my first 50 miler, Mountain Masochist in VA.9000 ft elevation gain. Finished just under 9 hours and was fastest fatboy. -Brian

When Baker and I, Brian, checked in they told us our 930 flight left at 755 & that we weren't supposed to be on it anyway. We got rebooked.

Results: SOGKnives.com finished in 9th. Got a flat on the way to the finish and were passed by 2 teams. They also had the fastest O-course.

Key notes: great teamwork & figthing some adversity, TX is not always dry, and MOST important the SOG Fatcat kept us from having to DNF.

Lots of mud (see bike pictures). We had to trek to one CP twice cause I (Brian) stupidly left the passport at my bike.

Finished. In just under 28 hours I believe. Definitely had our setbacks but still wanted to compete and finish the whole course.
