  1. Back from local Santa Claus Parade; it lasted half an hour. For a town of 4K and falling, that's not too bad. AND we scored candy canes!
  2. @msagara Less than the cats. Usually. But he smelled a lot more... Little dog. Big dog smell!
  3. @seananmcguire Oh, and that people can hork up hairballs with enough provocation. You should stick with two. *g*
  4. @rockharp Nine. Out of necessity, I have remarkably low standards for housekeeping.
  5. @seananmcguire Extensive research (9 cats -- 3 long hair, 6 short) indicates that short haired cats shed a lot more.
  6. @karinlow My "first readers" have become outside data storage locations.
  7. @rockharp The amount of fur around here choked my high-end vaccum cleaner. The filtering system died an ignoble & early death.
  8. @karinlow I had to rewrite half of Long Hot Summoning when my hard drive died. Very dead. Now I back up constantly!
  9. @saskatoonauthor I live in terror of losing my flash drive! (it's where the revision turned out to be)
  10. memo to self: remember where you saved the most recent revision.
  11. @wilsonsensei It's been random sheep noises around here all morning.
  12. @JennLebowski Same here. We've ordered two for Christmas presents. *g*
  13. @Texadan Your enjoyment will depend a lot on your tolerance for "You have got to be kidding me!" moments. Kiwis lean toward the absurd.
  14. @eyeska Kind of somewhere in between actually. I do know we spent a lot of time laughing. Possibly not where intended...
  15. @seananmcguire Space had genetically altered killer sheep complete with zombie-sheep victims. You'd have loved it!
  16. Just watched BLACK SHEEP, a genetically mutated killer sheep movie. The Kiwi sense of humour is... unique.
  17. @seananmcguire My sutures had dangling ends that felt like baleen. I kept running my tongue over them and craving shrimp... *g*
  18. @shaddyr We're working on it! Old contracts have to be reworded, mailed, signed, remailed, buried in peat, dug up and ratified. Takes time!
  19. @MariAdkins Thanks! Hope you keep loving them!
  20. Gently chided local Chapters for only having 2 out of 25 titles then had to apologise when I found a 3rd, having forgotten they split F&SF.
