  1. Storms today could form this A.M. over the Gulf and move ashore from Pasco through Levy counties. Rain will be inland later today.
  2. Storms from central Pasco through Hernando. Moving slowly S & SE. Some street flooding forecast. Most lightning will be over Pasco.
  3. Some of today's storms are forming over Citrus & Hernando counties in early afternoon. NWS says most activity will be north of Tampa.
  4. Some of the afternoon storms are starting to pop up. They are moving to the east at about 15 mph.
  5. NWS says until 11 a.m., T-storms in Gulf from Tarpon Springs north heading east at 20 mph. Could see gusts up to 30 mph.
  6. Weather service lifted any mention of hazardous weather today. Looks like they don't expect any T-storms to be very strong this afternoon.
  7. If you're near the beach, Wx Service says some water spouts could pop up with rain moving on shore, mostly from Tarpon Springs south.
  8. Some heavy fog is lingering from Tampa into Bartow and Lakeland this morning but most should be lifting by 9 a.m.
  9. The high on Tuesday of 97 degrees at TIA tied a record for June 23 set in 1944. Not expected to be that hot today, though.

  11. Severe t-storm warning in Highlands Cty. Storms now are moving to the southeast but may move other directions later this afternoon.
  12. If you saw lightning to the east before dawn, it was a line of thunderstorms over Central Polk. They were heading SW and not to the coast.
  13. At 1 p.m. with a couple more hours of heating left, most Tampa Bay locations already top Sunday index with MacDill at 112, Clearwater 111.
  14. Now the weather service has issued a heat advisory for West Central Florida, saying the heat index should top 105 again this afternoon.
  15. The E. Pacific has its 1st TS, Andres off SW Mexico coast. Could become hurricane by Tues. but barely & not long. Lots of shear ahead.
  16. Another hot one. Heat index at TIA was 96 by 5 a.m. Index was 105 at Peter O Knight airport. That place is usually the hottest in Tampa area
  17. Today's low at TIA of 82 should break 1900 record for June 21's highest minimum temperature of 80 degrees. Heat index at TIA now is 103.
  18. Find some AC. The heat index at TIA topped 100 by 9 a.m. If like Saturday, it will stay about 100 degrees or higher through 9 p.m.
  19. Weather service has flood advisory for S.E. Pinellas & St. Pete 'til 4 p.m. Localized flooding expected. 2 inches of rain an hour in places.
  20. Thunderstorms affecting Pinellas & Hillsborough. Look for them in St. Pete, Riverview, parts of I-275 and I-75. 2 inches of rain per hour.
