  3. This is obviously not mild flu, but epic cold. Good: no swine flu to spread thru house. Bad: much less excuse to go to bed for next 3 days.
  4. Did chemistry. Did Latin. Did piano. Cookies and Settlers, here we come.
  5. Back on kid duty this afternoon. Should I insist on school? Or suggest that they play games and eat cookies with pathetic ill mother? Hmm...
  6. Twelve hours of sleep helped. Wish I had chocolate cake to eat for breakfast.
  7. Curling up into miserable ball and waiting for tomorrow. Maybe everything will be OK in the morning.
  8. Potato chips eaten to medicate a fever have no calories.
  9. I am sick. WAAAAAAH.
  10. Went running. Then stood in the rain holding enthusiastic horse while vet treated leg. Time for hot coffee and family day.
  11. I WANT to go running in the cold, cold rain. Yes, I do. Watch me step out the door. Here I go. Right now. Almost gone. Leaving right now.
  12. Had to suspend to-do list in order to go call a square dance. Yes, one of my particularly RANDOM jobs.
  13. Darn, I forgot: must finish proofing final version of timelines. 1) Blog updates. 2) Timelines. 3) Scope & sequence. 4) India. 5) Watch TV.
  14. Prioritizing to-do list: 1) Blog updates. 2) Finish scope & sequence for middle-grade writing program. 3) Return to India (metaphorically).
  15. Willow oaks outside my bedroom window are bright yellow: red morning sun is turning them deep glowing orange, just for a few minutes.
  16. I'm doing stuff on the top of my to-do list. Meanwhile, the tasks on the bottom appear to be multiplying like bunnies.
  17. Writing early: Heading from India over to southeast Asia. But I'll be back.
  18. Time to head off the grid (and back into India).
  19. All the kids are playing musical instruments. Simultaneously. Which you might think would be a good and encouraging thing. Well...
  20. Writing early in the morning. Like the British, I am camping out in India way longer than I should.
