  1. @curtkrone I hope you don't mean that literally.
  2. How I love to be busy!. Averaging 3 hrs sleep twice a day & never felt better & more energized. Even during day-job drag, I'm smiling.
  3. @elleinthecity Meh. But Hardy's Jude the Obscure was tremendous. 30 years ago.
  4. Been working fairly nonstop on the teacher manual for reading project. Want to finish up & get ready for math workbook. May need a nap, tho'

  7. @mainelife Thanks. I started life as a proofreader of math. That must be it.
  8. 'Nuff for now. Back to knock out some more pages. On the laptop; get out of the studio & I'll get some energy from a new spot in a new room.
  9. @mainelife Guilty as charged, I guess. Numbers & math havve always been a comfort—numbers aren't opinions; they add up the way they add up.
  10. Anyone seen July/Aug issue of Poets & Writers mag? My Borders didn't have it when I looked about 2 weeks ago. Has a book design piece in it.
  11. I have a math project coming up momentarily. I can't wait. Math has always been fun for me to typeset.
  12. Well, in spite of being under the weather today—sinuses driving me crazy; hope I can sleep tonight—I was productive late.
  13. Had a good tho' short run & high-fiber cereal & fruit breakfast, as in the old days. If I can stay at day-job thru lunch & work, I'm good.
  14. I will be productive. I will be productive. I will be productive. ...
  15. What's cool is driving into the sunrise—like on a trip back from California. Must admit haven't done any drive like that in 20 years, tho'.
  16. @Miscmum That's the way Thomas Edison slept. Only inside his roll-top desk, I've heard.
  17. @dreamtimepress Ah, you publish! Ever have a need for a freelance book designer/layout artist?
  18. @mehallo ... Gave me some sense of what type design is like. That one and a few others. Reading Morison's Tally of Types at the moment.
  19. @mehallo I have Ms. Cheng's book. Went thru a phase when I thought I might want to design a type family. It's a nice looking book. ...
  20. @mehallo Must've been a treat to meet him. I haven't read either Curves of F&L—expensive & I've never ventured to design type.
