  2. Gov signs bill into law today that greatly benefits the UW Foundation's efforts. The bill was initiated by UW-Madison and Marquette Univ.
  3. The Assem Comm on Personal Privacy is set to tour the UW RFID Lab at Engineering on Tues. The comm is considering a bill to regulate RFIDs.
  4. Assem Coll & Univ Comm meeting now, nothing of note for UW Madison. One bill would require all Tech Colleges classes to be held after 5 pm.
  5. State relations update has been emailed out, posted to www.staterelations.wisc.edu tomorrow. Email dwnelson@uwmad.wisc.edu to get it.
  6. Governor signs budget with partial vetoes of RA/Fac/Staff collective bargaining provisions. More to follow on this....
  7. Gov to sign budget into law today, 11 am at the Executive Residence. Vetoes to be released this morning.
  8. Assembly approves budget. Gov prepares vetoes and could sing the budget by Monday.

  10. Senate passes budget just past midnight, Assembly to take it up tonight at 8:30.
  11. Conference committee approved budget. Senate poised to vote tonight, Assembly 24 hours later.

  13. Sen/Assem conference committee close to a budget deal and votes by each house possible by Friday
  14. Conference committee to resume this morning. No movement on UW budget provisions yet. Updates to follow.
  15. Conf. Committee named, to meet today at 5:30. Another meeting expected tomorrow with poss legislative session Thurs or Fri to pass budget.
  16. Sen/Assem to select conference committee members as soon as Wed. Neg with the Gov continue, Sen. Decker wants to be done this week.
  17. Legislative leadership, Gov all stick to July 1 deadline to finish the budget.
  18. Senate/Assembly pass their versions of the budget, conference committee to meet next week to resolve differences. Still on track for July 1.
