  1. Thanksgiving Day service is planned at 9:30 A.M. at St. Mark's. All are welcome.
  2. Folks will be tying fleece squares into blankets for Family Promise at 9:00 on Saturday at St. Mark's. Help needed.
  3. Senior Choir having a fellowship dinner this evening. Yum!
  4. Spoke at Ecumenical luncheon at Pine St. UM at noon on "Family Promise" program. Lots of good questions. Still looking for more $ etc.
  5. Festival Sunday, Christ the King. Holy Baptism, first Holy Communion for 5 kids, giving Bibles to 3rd graders
  6. Luncheon Fellowship today, noon. Get a head start of Thanksgiving! Bring a little something to share, and come.
  7. Busy yesterday: HC 2x, SCS, Lycoming College Chamber choir visited, adult catechumenate, Civic Chorus Concert, youth catechumenate, more!
  8. All Saints Festival today: remembering those baptized and those who "graduated to heaven" during the past 12 mo.Liturgy at 8 and 10:30.
  9. Final evening of School of Theology: "66 books in 4 wks", "Can you dig this?" (this week: Qumran), "ministry with youth". at StMarks, 7-9.
  10. Newsletter day. Look for it in snail-mail soon, and online within a few days.
  11. Reformation Sunday. Sermon based on Luther's description of the Seven Marks by which one can ID where the church is.
  12. Did 6 miles in under 2 hrs in CROP Walk yesterday, with sponsorship of congregation members of $115. A beautiful day for a good cause.
  13. This evening, doing a bit more editing and filming in preparation for the organ exploration video for the 70th anniversary this Sunday.
  14. This Sunday: 70th anniversary of our Moller 40-rank organ. Brief program at 11:45 AM Wondersul sound in a great setting. Come and sample!
  15. Co-op in Family Promise now: Lutherans, Presbyterians, Methodists, Roman Catholics. Hmmm...I think we need the Baptists too.
  16. Family Promise now has 13 host congregations. Can we soon set an opening date? The main need now is $$$ in any amount. Info call 323-4619
  17. Noon today hosting our missionary to Liberia, Bette McCrandall, at luncheon. All welcome. A fascinating, feisty, brave Christian woman!.
  18. Yesterday, began work w/ middleschool students, co-op. effort among students, parents, pastor, and mentors for each student. Good start.
  19. Yesterday began 9 month process with folks preparing for new or renewing membership in the parish. Great conversations!
