  1. Find more safety tips on our new Keeping Your Account Secure help page: http://help.twitter.com/forums/10711/entries/76036
  2. Use a unique password for each website you use; that way, if one account gets compromised, the rest are safe.
  3. We're resetting PWs for users affected by phishing (if you've already reset your PW, we may still reset you based on sent DMs).
  4. Always check the URL before logging in. Not sure if you're on Twitter? Just come directly to http://twitter.com to log in.
  5. We're still seeing phishing attempts; don't click on strange links! And tell folks who DM you phishing links to reset their PW.
  6. We're working to reset PWs and notify users w/affected accounts in the meantime (but feel free to change your PW if worried!)
  7. Getting weird DMs? Probably due to phishing. Don't go to the links sent in the DMs or give out your login & PW!
  8. Unauthorized DMs & tweets in your account? Revoke rogue apps at http://j.mp/twconn & change password at http://j.mp/twpass
  9. We've seen a few phishing attempts today; if you've received a strange DM and it takes you to a Twitter login page, don't do it!
  10. You can now use the "report as spam" feature rather than messaging this account. Hooray!
  11. We've got a brand new "report as spam" feature! Read more about it here: http://bit.ly/2YWxvw & here: http://bit.ly/Pspqg.
  12. Someone saying they've got 100s of Google Wave invites to give out & you've just got to RT & follow them to get one? It's a scam!
  13. A bit o'phishing going on -- if you get a weird direct message, don't click on it and certainly don't give your login creds!
  14. If you gave your login and password info to TwitViewer, we strongly suggest you change your password now. Thanks!
  15. When you report spam, don't RT the msg - just report the username. Otherwise, you might accidentally get suspended along w/spam!
  16. Hey, got Adobe Shockwave? Might want to update! http://bit.ly/zeD0i
  17. This doesn't mean you've been hacked -- but it does mean you might want to think about avoiding such risky behaviors.
  18. If you give out your username and pw to a site claiming to get you more followers, updates often get sent out on your account.
  19. Giving out your username and password to a 3rd party site promising you more followers: not a good idea! Please be safe!
  20. General tip: don't retweet a spammer's message. You might get suspended accidentally, and that's no good.
