ShiflettBros

  1. 3D section of Spectrum 16 seems really strong. Shiflett Bros. forum members Tim Bruckner, Rachel Young, & Walter O'Neal make good showings.
  2. @ewhims Its great!
  3. @Smugbug Re: Claire Wendling and her animal drawings: Hell yes. Awesome!
  4. I've been buying up every book of her work I can find.
  5. Jarrod and I have both been tripping on the amazing drawings of French artist Claire Wendling. She's sort of like a modern day Frazetta.
  6. @9thMonk Sucks about the damage.
  7. @Smugbug Art for fun is always the best remedy.
  8. http://twitpic.com/qaie4 - This piece, "Lulu", was destroyed a while back. Starting it over now at a slightly smaller scale.
  9. @ewhims I swear, we really wanna do NY Comic-Con next year. We're trying to make that happen. I'll let you know!
  10. Join us, Jordu Schell, Simon Lee, @paulkomoda, @KingUnicorn, and others out at Monsterpalooza. We're gonna have fun and drink way too much!
  11. Shiflett Bros. are confirmed for Monsterpalooza 2010, April 9-11 in L.A.http://www.rubberroom101.co...
  12. So much sculpting business shit that is not actually sculpting. We kinda suck as businessmen. Its not a strength.
  13. You might take some guy doing "Fine Art" in the seventies. I'll take Frazetta.
  14. @colin_christian Thanks so much, man.
  15. Our Juggernaut Statue, re-released in a "Faux Bronze" style from Bowen Designs: http://bit.ly/3LU3l2
  16. @missmonstermel @Kingunicorn On the series tip, I like Ergo Proxy. But I'm a sucker for Stylish Cyberpunk. Goth-y Stylish Cyberpunk? Bonus!
  17. @missmonstermel Those look totally kickass!
  18. Shiflett Bros WILL have an actual booth at Comic-Con 2010. Thanks go out to Clydene Nee and Artists' Alley for all they've done for us.
  19. Sculpting straight hard lines and edges is hard...best left to machinists.
  20. We suck at sculpting hardware. Love mecha stuff, just can't sculpt it.We avoid it like the plague both in personal work and commercial work.
