  1. Could you possibly make XML schemas a bit more arcane and complicated next time? Not possible, ya I thought so..
  2. @cgiffard must have been designed by a standards comittee
  3. @cgiffard @jasongorman They'd mostly be lapsed anyway. Does make you think how he might have fared if he wasn't hounded into suicide though.
  4. @jasongorman @cgiffard his patents were assigned to the imperial trust, (NPL) and would be official secrets. Can you be sure he didn't?
  5. It just might be that today was one of those pivotal days. Ask me in 2 years why.
  6. @kirankaja12 not this year no. other distractions...
  7. So, all that worry over finding a seat adaptor for this laptop and then BA bumps me to biz where I don't need it. #result
  8. @kirankaja12 Hmm, I think we all know how great standards are at fixing stuff.
  9. I have 5 bazillion cables to get power from a to b, yet not one that fits this stupid computer.
  10. @cgiffard For what its worth, I was having a bad day. 4am, Twitter, and sick puppies = not a good combination. Back to yr regular programme.
  11. @cgiffard apologies. the hominem i was (side) referring to is not you. I respect your openness and willingness to experiment.
  12. @cgiffard Was a per file cost of 184bytes & 2bytes/cue worth 2.5 years of delay and anguish? Oh and you aren't even done yet. #trueGenius
  13. @cgiffard If terseness were a goal I can write the file in TTML as 1465 characters vs 1253 for VTT, ie 17% and a per-cue cost of 2 ch.
  14. @cgiffard it would be instructive for me to see how VTT handles repeat styles, blank lines in cue text, language indication, & word wrap.
  15. @cgiffard In pursuit of objectivity and passion. I'd like to see an actually equivalent VTT file to compare. #preparedToBeConvinced
  16. @cgiffard But I'm free to interpret as a dislike for what I'M going tho, right... ;)
  17. @cgiffard that verbosity buy's ya: xml = domParser.parseFromString(data, "application/xml"); #noneSoBlind
  18. Snow in the South of France. Chaos ensues....
  19. Met Mickey Jones' son, got to play his 61 SG. How cool is that. Bananas!
