  1. Wrapped up patching. Not bad. Patching isn't just patching. It's manually kicking apps that don't start on their own, hardware issues, etc.
  2. Starting a patching window. It's a smaller patch list so we'll see how the servers like their patching this month.
  3. @RachelAppel Thanks Rachel!
  4. @robzelt I haven't been to an Earls in 7 years, since I lived in BC, Canada. Great restaurant!
  5. Being able to consistently and quickly reproduce an issue is often 3/4 of the way to the solution.
  6. @bradygaster ASP.NET MVC and Classic ASP are light years apart from each other even though they share some aspects.
  7. WCF's dependencies on IIS or WAS bindings are a pain. That should be defined in the project config, not server settings.
  8. @jrgarcia Too bad it doesn't allow jumping to specific levels. I sent link to my son and he figured it out. Hidden space on top of T.
  9. @JRGarcia I agree, great game: http://bit.ly/6FoauF. Did you get level 20 figured yet? I'm stumped on that one.
  10. Just noticed that Chrome tabs can be dragged back into another group of tabs.I tested that in early version. Glad to see it supported now.
  11. RT @John_Papa: RT @techmyway: Bing's new Silverlight powered Maps site is VERY impressive http://digs.by/v7t #bing #maps #silverlight
  12. IIS URL Rewrite 2.0 Rocks! Rewriting server variable on both the incoming and outgoing path gives so much flexibility.
  13. Blogged on using URL Rewrite to redirect from non-www to www (Part I and II) http://bit.ly/5V8z2A and http://bit.ly/7sVbGv.
  14. @SteveSchofield IIS Media Services 3.0 using Web PI for the install. Worked on one install, failed on the 2nd.
  15. I sure appreciate it when a product has good error logs. Always a bummer when an install fails, but easier to take when there are details.
  16. Finally watching @scottgu 's PDC Silverlight keynote. http://bit.ly/1fMK8k (53 minutes in)
  17. @John_Papa Did you ever get this figured out? http://bit.ly/61kLGr
  18. Check out the audio captcha on serverfault.com. It's about 10 words!
  19. I wasn't sure what to think of Web Platform Installer (from IIS team), but after doing a couple clean installs of SQL Express, I'm sold!
  20. @johnsheehan Good point. That's what I'll do then.
