  1. 11yo long division, Latin to English translation, poetry, and The Hobbit. And piano. 5th grade. That's it.
  2. I never saw any of the 13yo's work today. And to think I used to despair of him working independently!
  3. 8yo: subtraction, direct&indirect quotes, dictation, read a dino book, test prep (gag).
  4. This morning: stories of Hermes and Hades. For 7yo, adding numbers in decades to 2-digit numbers. Writing dates. 5 Latin words.
  5. More field tripping. Spy Museum and portrait gallery.
  6. Now teaching four children three levels of Latin. Oh. Help.
  7. History field trip today - visiting Ft. McHenry.
  8. 13yo has finished the Iliad! 7yo creating own math problems. 8yo creating timelines of dinosaurs. I'll hold math 'til he's done.
  9. @riverbend I had to drop the Indigo Girls a few years ago for same reason.
  10. OTOH, perhaps 8yo took away wrong message, as he runs around the house with an apple, playing Eris.
  11. "Mama Mama, can you read us Greek myths? Please?"
  12. 7yo practicing piano. Refuses to be taught, so I must be ultra- sneaky about it.
  13. Rushing to get through Latin and writing so Mom can go participate in a little protesting.
  14. That's what I get for doing library requests in the middle of the night.
  15. History fail. Books I requested on Spanish-American War will not help us learn Mexican-American War.
  16. In a mood this morning. Have given kids assignments, and am taking time out until I can behave.
  17. 7yo is teaching himself piano. True to himself, he wants no lessons. He's doing very well.
  18. Four years ago we read great TX history book. Now don't remember author, can't find it. Anyone have a good rec?
  19. Not a productive homeschool day. PS on spring break. Allergies stuffing up kids' heads, leaving zombies.
  20. Instead, added saltasaurus, megaraptor, argentinosaurus.
