  3. Also ended up in the grass on second last lap because two guys decided to rub shoulders in front of me and I didn't trust they'd stay up.
  4. Can someone pls teach me how to race a crit? I was either on the front or right at the back? Felt so stupid for not staying in top 10 spots.

  8. Received letter in the mail that I'm a Cycling Queensland Finalist, nominated in the Masters Women 1-3 Road Cyclist of the Year category.Wow

  10. Dreading the 4h ride to Mt Mee today. Still sore & tired. 2 training sessions & total TSS of 250 yesterday. Now add another tough ride.
  11. Researching psychometric testing for work. Did a few this week & they all tell me that I'm highly competitive. Who would have thought?
  12. Legs are a bit sore from Lakeside race this morning. Intensity factor 1.09, don't tell me it's already time for re-testing! I suck at tests!
  13. I will have to enjoy my last long weekend. It was so nice while it lasted but all good things will have to come to an end I suppose.
  14. Found fresh 'home laid' happy eggs from neighbours by the door this morning. How nice of them. Baking muffins for breakfast now.
  15. Raced club crit this morning. 46 minutes, 38.8 km/h, some attacks. Good workout but chickened out in the sprint. Have to stay upright ATM.
  16. Had friends from Cairns staying with us. We hadn't seen each other for a couple of years but it was like yesterday. It just felt right.
  17. @CGMorley Nope, I had a terrible sleep (or not much at all) and the little sleep I had was full of nightmares. I was too tired to ride. :-(
  18. Need to go to bed early if I want to get up early for a training ride. Will commit to meet friend at 5:30 am. More hills - yes!
  19. @cyclingalps Well, the hills around Brisbane are just pimples in comparison to the mountains you climb ;-) Will need it for Mt Hotham though
  20. Glad I put the 12-27 cassette now. Different gear ratios. Amazing how the 24 feels so good and got to looooooove the 27! LOL
