  1. Nook edition of War and Peace replaces the word "kindled" with "nookd" - theinteractive.com/2012/06/war-an… via @interactiveblog
  2. @SennettReport Congrats!
  3. @Faience Yes but the dealbreaker is it also has 25,000 of these guys: collegehumor.com/video/6507690/… I say this as someone immersed in the industry ;)
  4. @Faience Yeah. It's part of why I've never gone to SXSWi. I know I really should but it sounds like 5 times more ridic than E3.
  5. Part of it though is that there's not much in the pipeline I'm all that excited about. Most I was looking forward to came out last year.
  6. Don't get me wrong, I'm still looking forward to it for the most part but the magic has definitely passed.
  7. When I was 16 going to E3 was a dream. Now that I've been to many I'm excited to see old friends, but the event itself is exasperating.
  8. Everyone follow, incessantly tweet at @AnnaGetsPithy, a Chicago tech/culture writer finally diving into Twitter. Oh and she's my girlfriend.
  9. @Justyn Mediocrity really could use a beatdown from a air-to-surface Hellfire missile-equipped UAV.
  10. @AnnaGetsPithy That and the Fox News question mark. "George W. Bush: Best President Ever?" "Barack Obama: Is He a Muslim?" *headdesk*
  11. How to Use Facebook’s New Promote Button to Reach More Page Fans sproutsocial.com/insights/2012/… via @Sprout_Insights
  12. "Google declares war on Facebook." "Obama declares war on marriage." No, none of these things are true, and you're cheapening all discourse.
  13. Can we get all journalists to sign an agreement to stop saying "declares war on" for anything not involving actual deadly physical conflict?
  14. @Psychochild The WoW model is dying & the only MMO that can succeed is one that's radically diff, but I'm not optimistic one will be made
  15. @Psychochild SWTOR is fun but it's not quite as fun as WoW, and given the similarities and time commitment, why would you play it instead?
  16. @Psychochild Not even industry pros remember that there were other proposed models 20 years ago.
  17. @Psychochild The Elder Scrolls team see a backlash because it's too much like WoW but in interviews clearly can't even imagine it otherwise.
  18. @Psychochild To me it signals that consumers tire of the definition of MMO as the WoW/Diku formula, but it doesn't mean innovation is coming
  19. E3 and inbox zero are mutually exclusive. Oy.
