  3. Through your financial support of the SAH you are directly having an impact on the next generation of scholars of the built environment.

  5. In a time where financial cuttbacks have taken a toll on other academic programs
  6. It has been through your generous donations that have allowed me to participate in this Study Tour.
  7. Lastly, I would like to thank all of you- the general members of the SAH.
  8. Such generousity is extremely rare in academia, where you do literally have to publish or perish.
  9. Those hours could have been spent getting his manuscript ready for press, instead he chose to spend his time sharing his reseach with us.
  10. I have to offer a huge thank you to Dr. Dell Upton for the countless hours of research work he put into this trip.
  11. I would also like to offer my thanks to my fellow study tour participants for your fellowship and wonderful conversations.
  12. They were able to get us into places that would have been impossible to coordinate by ourselves.
