@ the gnd of the closest module would do or if you have a power buss in the rack, tap into that. the chassis likely isnt gnd anymore

@ you are converting a synth to banana? if the 1/4" are for external inputs, then yes gnd them to the banana synth gnd or chassis.

@ either gnd it to the chassis, or attach it to the gnd of the banana jack synth. gnd of banana synth needs to be on 1/4" jacks.
