  1. Anyone know why the Dice-Bot on Wave isn't working in new blips?
  2. @pyromanfo Yeah--if you could save at will the whole thing would be much more enjoyable.
  3. I love the practomime, but the horrendous difficulty of New Super Mario Bros. Wii is a shame. Nintendo's advertising=borderline deceptive.
  4. @Nickalone I'm not trying to force it on anybody else. I just like to use words that help me think. "Game" with respect to DragonAge doesn't
  5. @Nickalone It may be that what we need is a multiplicity of new words. I've just had it with that particular one. It doesn't help me anymore
  6. @sparkyclarkson I admit that it's changing, but I don't think it can change enough to do what's necessary. Call them whatever you want, tho.
  7. @kateri_t (Though of course that's also what I want to believe.)
  8. @kateri_t There's a point at which a classicist has to admit that fear and pity are being delivered more powerfully in modern practomime.
  9. @kateri_t You're really scaring me, and in a completely unexpected way. I can guess, and I almost don't want to play.
  10. @AcademyofDrX I was playing Halo with my niece and nephew. Very fun, but sad I couldn't join you guys!
  11. In case anyone's interested in waging battle royale about the relation between games and mimesis, @charlesjpratt and I have a neat Wave goin
  12. @charlesjpratt I dispute that it's a real scavenger hunt in any meaningful way. It's a mimesis of an adventure in which you collect things.
  13. @charlesjpratt We're at loggerheads over mimesis, clearly. I think we need a wave for this. Are you charlesjpratt@googlewave?
  14. @charlesjpratt A mimesis of chess? A mimesis of a scavenger hunt? And eg Tetris is a mimesis of stuff falling on you.
  15. @charlesjpratt DragonAge shares only a very few characteristics of chess, and the idea of beating is foreign to its aesthetic meaning.
  16. @charlesjpratt No, but you beat your opponent, for whom an AI may substitute, in a mimesis of battle. And chess is clearly primarily a game.
  17. @MsZ Wonderful! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised! Happy Thanksgiving!
  18. @Nickalone Uh oh. ROBOCOP! Am I fired?
  19. Thankful for: family, a teaching career that includes practomimes, a president who thinks, practomimes like DragonAge, sacred music, Web 2.0
  20. @AcademyofDrX @demonicmurry Of which I have about 750. Now, _Clarissa_--I got all 1000, 100% with every unlockable power brick on that one.
