  1. I love that "I Will Posses Your Heart" by Death Cab for Cutie is over 8 minutes long and the intro is 4:32.
  2. The Edge's (U2) guitar in White as Snow reminds me of the guitar in The Lighthouse by Interpol. A different sound & style for Edge. I like!
  3. I love "Americans in Corduroys" by Jeffrey Foucault! The lyrics are so youthful & the twang of the Tele with the echo box sounds so good!
  4. Have you heard "The Maker" from Daniel Lanois?
  5. I love the opera singing in Eskimo by Damien Rice! I always crank it up at that point.
  6. I still get chills when I hear Damien Rice sing the opening lyric, "And so it is", to the Blower's Daughter.
  7. Griffin House: a little bit of a twang with some rock and great lyrics. Check out "When the Time is Right"!
  8. I love the raw emotion in "Call the Police" by James Morrison! Especially when the music stops & he sings "Can't just back at me, you know"
  9. The greatest intro for a tune? My vote is for Where the Streets Have No Name by U2. The energy that builds in that first minute is awesome!
  10. "Seems I'm not alone at being alone." One of my all time favorite song lyrics.
  11. @brettdennen Hope for the Hopeless is a terrific album. Wrong About Me is another favorite. I see that San Fran is an iTunes pick at SBUX!
  12. Get On Your Boots fits nicely on No Line on the Horizon (U2) but as a single I'm not sold.
  13. Need to get into a groove?! Listen to Where I End & You Begin by Radiohead on repeat!!
  14. How can you not like the Love Cats from the Cure?! So playful.
  15. Jeff Buckley is the greatest loss to the future of music. "Lover You Should've Come Over" - oh my, that voice!
  16. Want to hear an uplifting song that has a very heavy message behind it? Download "Albertine" by Brooke Fraser.
  17. Jolene & Hannah by Ray LaMontagne should be on everyone's iPod.
  18. If You Leave from OMD still sounds as good today as it did back in 1986!! Maybe those lyrics sound even better today!?
  19. Take a listen to Pitter-Pat from Erin McCarley.
  20. Need a song to go to sleep to? The Cure's "Same Deep Water As You" on repeat - you'll get lost in the sound! Good night.
