  1. Just voted RunKeeper for Best Location Based Mobile App http://mashable.com/owa #openwebawards
  2. @jtauber Happy birthday!
  3. Spent a few minutes on AOL to establish a new AIM screen name. Wow, how terrible. Login didn't stick between systems, broken images, bad UI.
  4. @branesks Someone at our local LUG just did a talk on EC2 -vs- Rackspace: http://docs.google.com/pres...
  5. @branesks Both have their advantages. EC2 is a bit more elastic in terms of reassigning IPs and mving sites, but RS is more straight forward
  6. @jtauber We do a lot of video work here on external drives and have had the worst luck with certain vintages of Lacie drives.
  7. @gregnewman I failed at my November daily blog posting after three days - how long do you suppose I'm good for a month-long sprint? #iamlame
  8. Small victory, but happy day. Percent of IE7 users finally passed IE6 for our site. IE7=40.76%, IE6=40.34%, IE8=18.9% (of IE browsers)
  9. @SmithToYou Wave invite sent - can take from hours to weeks to be sent, though. Wave is a bit odd, but can be quite fun w/ the right people
  10. @SmithToYou If you're interested, I'd be happy to send you an invite. DM me with your e-mail address.
  11. Just ordered 3-wheeled, toddler-sized roller hockey skates for the twins. Should be the start of an interesting adventure.
  12. @paladin You can ignore chk engine for a long time as long as it's not blinking. Usually just means something emissions is out of compliance
  13. The latest version of Flip4Mac tries to slide Silverlight onto your Mac. Tricksy, tricksy. I haven't missed not having Silverlight yet.
  14. MS SQL date conversion is one of the most ridiculous things I've seen in computing in a long time.
  15. Wishing I was at the #cplug meeting tonight, but I'm on kid duty so it's a no-go. #illegaltolockthemup
  16. It feels good to dust off a 9-month old code branch for a feature that never saw the light of day and merge it in.
  17. @paladin I am doing them in Python, but after seeing some super-elegant Haskell solutions, I'm tempted to finally dive in and learn it.
  18. @paladin I totally didn't know about Project Euler. I'm hooked! The solutions in the forums are as interesting as the problems themselves.
  19. RT @James_Austin: Google released 'Closure'a JS library and compiler: http://bit.ly/1aPMc4
  20. @ShawnMilo I had a hell of a time getting MysqlDB re-compiled since Python is now 64bit and my MySQL was 32bit. Not sure if psql is same.
