  1. Strong evidence to suggest Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy are users of BBC Sport's 606 golf message boards. http://bit.ly/49GsNE
  2. Filed my final Fastnet blog on BBC Sport sailing website. Just about caught up on sleep. Back in golf mode, covering USPGA in office.
  3. Fastnet PS - thanks for all your messages. Sorry for not replying at the time but couldn't see them on the boat. Pizza & beer was good!
  4. That's all folks! Thanks for following us from myself & the crew - Sam, Ollie, Ben, Oscar, Mikey, Andy & Lovely. And the boat for a safe ...
  5. "A good race. Disappointing we didn't beat Hugo Boss but we did well to stay up with the main pack for so long," says skipper Lovely.
  6. That's us done then! Artemis the Profit Hunter crossed the line at 1423 BST. Handshakes all round. 8th in the fleet of 11, but it's old ...
  7. Our nemesis Hugo Boss finished a short while ago. Well done Alex Thomson & his team. It was fun while it lasted.
  8. Here on Artemis the Profit Hunter we've got 12 miles or just over an hour left. Pizza & beer order placed & requested to be brought out!
  9. News reaches us that BT crossed the line at just before 0500 to win the class in two days 17 hours. Artemis II crossed an hour later in 2nd.
  10. Well, team, don't want to seem defeatist but we may have to concede the Boss bully boys this one. We've got a new race anyway - 100ft Liara.
  11. 1145BST - Nearing Falmouth. Boss has gybed and gone way to the south as they can't sail as close to the wind with a spinnaker.
  12. 1030BST - Woke up for final time. Unlike slogging upwind, lying in bunk as boat surges down swells is quite pleasant. Up on deck Boss in ...
  13. Passed Wolf Rock about 7am, next the Lizard. No vis. End of watch in sight so making up songs at Ollie's expense. Andy's lost his marbles.
  14. Wait. We can see the shape of Boss in the mist ahead. Radar says 2 miles but it gives us hope. Must spin the pumps harder. Speed 13kts.
  15. Our foe may have gone but still have to get home. Up at 5am for more grinding. Arms hanging off. A Jaffa Cake teases me just out of reach.
  16. 0200BST - Going off watch. Boss has pulled away in the darkness and is hard to make out. Looks like the Profit Hunters have been hunted.
  17. Boss is level with us on our port side. Tension is high as we strive to compete. In more wind he pulls away, in lighter stuff we catch up.
  18. And so the Night of the Long Grinds begins. Running downwind with the kite up needs constant trimming, and therefore grinding. "Trim on..."
  19. Come on watch at 1100BST to hear the bad news. "Boss is just over there." The Black Boat loomed out of the fog about 10pm. The game is on.
  20. Late afternoon and the breeze has dropped a bit. "Not quite as exciting is it," says Ollie. No sign of Hugo Boss. Mist rolling in.
