  1. Oops.
  2. just realized what I want for lunch. So somebody get me a Garbage Plate from Nick Tahou's on East Main Street in Rochester, please.
  3. wants to compose his Grand Opus for Equality in the next day or two. A composition with no strings. Stay tuned. (Get it? Strings tuned?)
  4. I'm beginning to think maybe the meat in the lasagna I had for lunch was on a recall list, but no one noticed...
  5. Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin? Seriously? I'm going back to bed...
  6. Last thoughts: ME and NJ disappointed, but NY 23, Kalamazoo, Niskayuna, and WA give me hope. Split decison tonight. I've had worse.
  7. The good guys will win NY 23; I think we'll lose Maine. But I can't leave my computer until I have a feel for Washington's 71. So tired...
  8. Good: Owens up by 3.7% in NY 23 (84% reportring); Bad: "Yes on 1" up by 3.4% in Maine (65% reporting).
  9. Should I be surprised that the Albany Times-Union's "Capitol Confidential" site has been useless tonight? (Closes the tab.)
  10. Owens holding onto a 49-45 lead over the Palin/Beck candidate in New York's 23rd CD w/ two-thirds of the vote in.
  11. Narrow win for Suozzi in Nassau County; big loss for Spano in Westchester. Not one of the better Democratic nights, but not a total loss.
  12. Congratulations to my friend Denise Murphy McGraw. She romped to a win for Niskayuna NY town council. Next stop: Albany! (5 miles away.)
  13. Apologies for earlier tweets: misread the Bangor news. Maine is now 37% in, and it's 50/50.
  14. New York City elects two new gay Democrats and a Republican pagan to the city council. Uh... wait. Republican pagan? Fascinating city...
  15. Chris Christie will soon be my governor. Oh well. I will be as fair as the GOP was to Obama, and give him a month or two to fix EVERYTHING!
  16. 18% reporting from NY 23: Owens (the good guy) 51%; Hoffman 44%. Not over yet.
  17. 52% in: No on 1, 52%; yes, 48%.
  18. In New Jersey, Christie's lead has been a consistent 10-12%. But I have no idea where in the state those votes are coming from.
  19. Polls are now closed in New York State. Time to start watching the 23rd CD.
  20. 20% of the vote in Maine now recorded, and No on 1 is ahead again, 55-45. This is gonna take a while...
