  1. Tomorrow's tasting to include Pulenta's Vistalba Corte C & B, Leyda's top Pinot, Pisa Range Pinot from Otago. Come on. You know you want it
  2. In-store tasting: Thursday 1st Oct 7-9pm. Some great new South American wines plus whatever else takes my fancy on the evening. Do pop in.
  3. @rfwine Best I've had is from Cascina Morassino. Surprising depth for a Dolc
  4. @JamesSuckling Big fan. Burlotto do a highly perfumed one. Also Ben Glaetzer does a great Dolcetto/Lagrein blend from McLaren Vale
  5. Heard yesterday @ the Cricket. Old lady to Hubby "The best thing about this is that we're sober so we'll remember. Usually with the gin..."
  6. Spent yesterday at the Oval. Will life ever be so sweet again?
  7. Can someone please tell Ian Bell to DUCK!!!

  12. Preparing to host a wine dinner for 65 tonight. Better get a haircut. Look like a hippy.
  13. De Bortoli Sauvignon Blanc 2006, Yarra Estate. Old Fench oak + battonage = rich, round harmonious wine, much finer than most New World Sauvs
  14. Tasting good wines & listening to Quins grab Newcastle, bend them over & use them roughly. Sweet.
  15. Tasting De Bortoli Yarra Estate range. '04 Pinot charming but v light. '06 Viognier rich & complex. '06 Sauv amazing, equal to top Sancerre
  16. @ImprezzeoCEO Looks like a decent bag of cheap 'n cheerfuls. Lehman, Heartland & D'Arenberg are all solid producers. Houghton underwhelming
  17. Just heard a little boy say "Mummy, it's quite warm today."...pause..."Would you like an ice cream?" Nice try ,son.
  18. Preparing for tonight's wine course. It's fizz this time including an incredible '98 Leasingham Sparkling Shiraz.
