  1. We are in Scotland! Sort of all downhill from here, except for the mountains.
  2. Carlisle is the most bike friendly city so far, especially the cycle lane loops that skip round traffic lights.
  3. Second breakfast late today due to having to climb 1400 feet over the Shap summit, maybe the biggest climb of the trip.

  8. Second breakfast at McDonald' in Wigan, just few more miles and we will pass Preston and be back in the countryside again.
  9. Stopped at Warrington, the North West at last! We are sitting in Pizza Hut, ready to load carbs. However, I seem to have put weight on!
  10. Stopped in Wem for sausage sandwiches, 44 miles done so far.
  11. The great thing about an early start is 2nd breakfast! We have stopped for latte and club sandwiches in All Stretton.
  12. Nice early start, leaving Ludlow in the rain. Josh has to leave the support team today ti go back to college. Lunch in Shrewsbury?
  13. Stopped at a campsite in Ludlow for the night, 308 miles completed, fish and chips for dinner.
  14. Through Monmouth in the rain, sun up ahead, thanks to the people who donated at justgiving
  15. Just had extra croissants for breakfast and now leaving Chepstow for Monmouth and then lunch in Hereford.
  16. Evening on the third day and we have just crossed the Severn Bridge into Wales, 90 miles so far today.

  18. Stopped at Axebridge for coffee and cake, 55 miles done so far
  19. Day 3, heading up to Somerset
  20. Finished the day at Tiverton, 80 miles completed, 156 in 2 days, and a flatter day tomorrow.
