  13. Ran into Aftab Shivdasani last night who joked that I havent liked a single film of his. Not true - Mr India is a favourite of mine :-)
  14. Mr India: I can rattle off the dialogues on cue. One of those rare films that was near-perfect in every department.
  15. Wow, it's 25 years since Mr India released! Literally one of my fav Hindi films ever, one I've easily watched 100 times. Still so enjoyable.
  16. @sachintadphale We had one in a competitive section this year: Miss Lovely. In the same section (un certain regard) we had Udaan 2 yrs ago.
  17. @ameyad1989 That actually doesn't make sense. Bec critics aren't filmmakers. But the person making jokes abt India at Cannes IS a filmmaker.
  18. How cynical to say India is a joke at Cannes...in the year we have 4 films! And every country throws a party, it's a networking exercise.
  19. There's no shame in having films in non-competitive sections at Cannes. He who mocks should be asked how many films he's had in competition.
