  10. @chrisindallas By using plaster on the outside, it would help hide the foam layer seams.
  11. @chrisindallas That's right, my dad used screen wire on my old layout too. Screen wire and paper mache.
  12. @chrisindallas Yeah that's another good way to do it, I tried some molds, and didn't have much luck. Hard to get them off the plaster.

  14. @chrisindallas He uses some thicker pieces of foam, I guess they have 2" foam up north. Part 2 gets into the foam sculpturing.

  16. @chrisindallas I have never tried the plaster paper towels, but I remember that was what my dad did on my layout when I was a kid.
  17. @chrisindallas I guess I could use the wire cutter to get the general shape, then rough it up from there. It is messy. Fills my shop vac.

  19. @chrisindallas only in small cracks that don't look natural. I get it smooth first and get the general shape going, then go rough it up.
