  1. My newest Earthen Grave skirt has crinoline in it. Not the poofy kind, but crinoline nonetheless. Amusing. Oh, it also has lots of chains.
  2. Yay! My husband (my toughest critic) just read my foundation's year-end fundraising letter and liked it. Hopefully you will, too!
  3. Finished drafting the REB Foundation's year-end fundraising letter, sent to development consultant for tweaking. Next task: mailing lists.
  4. Yum, tomorrow I get to start practicing the Brahms AND Sibelius concertos at the same time!
  5. Yay! The McHenry County Youth Orchestras did a wonderful job in today's concert, and they tore it up on the Metallica!
  6. I'm so excited, today is the world premiere of my first full symphony orchestration (Metallica's Master of Puppets). Hope to see you there!
  7. Enjoying a yummy post-concert raw chard and cabbage salad.
  8. Today, 4pm, Raue Center for the Arts, Crystal Lake, IL - classical solos plus Metallica's Master of Puppets with full symphony orchestra!
  9. Nails polished, hair sprayed, nut bar eaten, Caprice #5 practiced, hands washed. Just about time to go onstage with my band. \m/
  10. Tonight, I bet the President of the IL St. Andrew Society a bottle of JW Blue that he can't get my husband into a kilt in 10 years.
  11. Sorted every article of clothing husband owns. Got all questions answered. Result - 4 large bags for charity, 1 for trash, hiring a stylist.
  12. Sorting my husband's side of the clothes closet, finding things he hasn't worn in years. Doesn't fit? Doesn't like? Forgot about? Worn out?
  13. Dozens of people tonight: "Are you performing for us this evening?" Me: "You wouldn't want to see me try to step dance..." CHRP rocked!
  14. Looking forward to attending the Chicago Human Rhythm Project's 20th anniversary benefit gala tonight: http://tinyurl.com/ylyppzh
  15. No way! Ran into one of my all-time favorite electric violinists Tracy Silverman at this Milwaukee restaurant, we just hung out for an hour!
  16. LOVE the Milwaukee audience - thanks for being so welcoming and rocking out with us! Can't wait to return to this town on Dec. 12.
  17. FB message: "So, I was in O'Hare Sunday, in the men's room...and I heard the Joachim concerto first movement. Was that your recording???"
  18. Ooh, dis! Chicago Trib review of OneRepublic album: 'The band needs to stop mistaking the cello as an inherently "meaningful" instrument.'
  19. Earthen Grave performs tomorrow at SEVEN O'CLOCK (not 7:30) opening for Megadeth in Milwaukee. \m/ \m/ Be sure to find me and say hi!
  20. Here's where I performed tonight: www.driehausmuseum.org - it was a great honor to be part of such a successful evening for a great cause.
