  1. @mgaertne Models also reduce dimensions. Models simplify by selectively paying attention to some and ignoring other aspects/dimensions.
  2. @mgaertne Aren't models a view of the real thing? The model car replicates some aspects of the real thing but not all.
  3. http://twitpic.com/swetu - @shrinik And the photo is a model of the model. :)
  4. http://twitpic.com/swetu - @shrinik Here is a model & part of the real thing. Represents real thing but not same.
  5. @shrinik "The limits of a model must be as clearly understood as its representative aspects are understood." - Michael Molloy
  6. @shrinik Models represent something else. In modeling we select what aspects we care about and what we don't. Is incomplete.
  7. @shrinik Names itself doesn't say that but language is defined by how people use it. the concatenation of words may not be same as pieces
  8. @shrinik MBT automation is driven by explicit models instead of scripted procedure
  9. @shrinik Words are models. They can be useful but cannot fully represent speaker's (writer's) ideas.
  10. @shrinik The MBT name applied to test generation automation is a model. It is wrong, but can be useful. :)
  11. @ipreuss So there's no reverse of jealousy? Misery seems to come with focus on self -- whether comparing to others or not.
  12. @johnpeltier Buy an iPhone and you can get it out of your head, 'cause there's and app for that. ;)
  13. @shrinik So rather than scripts, MBT automation is driven by models from which tests are generated.
  14. @shrinik All testing is model based. All software development is model-based. Most use MBT to refer to model-driven test automation
