  1. @acarvin That's because you're famous. Duh! :)
  2. @chrisbrogan thought of you when I read this article. It's about "culture smarts" & knowing ppl in different occupations: http://tr.im/rxXP
  3. LOL! I'm very much enjoying this blog, Awful Library Books : http://awfullibrarybooks.wo... Follow on Twitter : @awfullibbooks
  4. @LisaGemini I don't think I was published in Arabic... I think it is just a trackback. but how would I know either way? LOL.
  5. So I dusted off my wordpress ID and went to check my stats (I hardly ever do this). Holy crud, Facebook is my top referrer! Who knew?!
  6. Got my first trackback in Arabic. Had to ask a new on-line friend from Egypt to check it out for me. It's ok. But how cool is that?
  7. @banannie OK *I* didn't say it out loud on Twitter that you butt-dialed me last night! At least it wasn't drunk-dialed!
  8. @rlaws34 Great! Glad you liked The Tipping Point. Another "easy" but interesting read in the same vein is "Sway" by Ori Brafman.
  9. @BethHarte @amandachapel Washington Post in trouble for memo to lobbyists the offered up access to journalists: http://tr.im/qDTD
  10. @T_X_P Once you a Martian, always a Martian. Mars is an interesting company & an interesting family. Hard to get in there, hard to leave.
  11. @BethHarte yeah, let's chat about this... I mean, I'm not surprised, but... seems creepy. Plus it will put an end to newspapers eventually.
  12. @BethHarte @amandachapel I suppose such ethics will kill me in the end, since every PR person is doing this. But I'm not a PR person.
  13. @amandachapel @BethHarte at any rate, I turned down the "opportunity" to write the article for the local business. It seemed unethical.
  14. @amandachapel assess the opportunity how? Like, will the article sell? (sorry, that confused me).
  15. @BethHarte @amandachapel so the editor knows full well, pays nothing, fills her space. hrm. Must be good enough that the readers don't notice.
  16. @BethHarte @amandachapel I suppose the respected publication would figure it out if the "journalist" takes little or no pay for the article.
  17. @T_X_P Mars, Inc (my once-employer) is known to be quite litigious & fiercely protect brands. They've established a reputation over decades.
  18. @amandachapel @BethHarte I was asked, recently, by a local business to do this for them -basically write an article about them & spec it out
  19. @BethHarte @amandachapel seems like the independent, respected publication is unaware that an agency is "spec-ing" the article.
  20. @T_X_P Twitter's only hope is to get a cease & desist orders & then sue for TOS contract breaches. Who has time for that?
