  10. I established the second, third and fourth National Parks. They were: Sequoia, Yosemite, and Gen. Grant National Parks.
  11. Over my four years as president, 22 million acres of forest land was set aside as national forest reserves.
  12. I told Sen that I wouldn't sign the Land Rev Act w/o a reservation clause. Sec 24 was added giving the pres power to create forest reserves
  13. Many were surprised and even angered by my passion for nature and wish to forever preserve forest land and establish #nationalparks.
  14. On my 58th bday at Mt McGregor, NY where Grant earlier died, I toasted him: Great lives, like that of Gen Grant, do not go out. They go on.
