  1. Sleeper State Park will be open until 4:30pm on Wednesday to sell annual permits for harbor parking.
  2. Get an annual boating site vehicle permit for a holiday gift by calling our off-season # or stopping at Sleeper State Park.
  3. The USACE will be doing soundings in January for future dredging in their part of the harbor.
  4. The seasonal slip renewals are starting to roll in. This is also good time to apply if you are a first-timer.
  5. Buy your annual vehicle pass at Sleeper State Park or use the yellow drop pipe near the fee booth at the harbor and we'll mail it to you.
  6. 2010 annual Motor Vehicles Permits for MI boating sites go on sale today. A great holiday gift for $24. Call our off-season # to buy one.
  7. The Winter Chill Thrill is Jan. 8-10. The Polar Bear Dip is on Saturday, Jan. 9 at 1 pm. Join us for a dip in refreshing Lk Huron.

  9. Beat the rush for a 2010 seasonal slip. Great holiday present too but to get the paperwork done in time, don' t wait too long.
  10. Ground-breaking for the new Civic Center happened last Friday ...the first of many phases to a whole new harbor area!
  11. Though we are closed, still stuff to do. Besides fishing, the last day is coming up for the Farmers Market here in town - this Sat, 9am-1pm.
  12. Groundbreaking for the Village's new Civic Center next to the harbor, is this Friday at 1PM.
  13. Its not the Antique Road Show but Saturday's Port Austin Farmers Market will have a professional antique appraiser doing FREE appraisals.

  15. We're taking applications for 2010 seasonal slips. First come, first serve, so apply now in case we get too many applications.
  16. Our Wi-Fi and webcam still work through the winter.
  17. Channel buoys will be removed & night lights turned off in roughly 2 weeks. The last skid pier will come out in mid-Nov.
  18. The Port Austin Farmers Market last day is Saturday, Oct. 17. (9am-1pm).
  19. Just because we're winterized isn't stopping people from catching Lake Trout and a few Steelhead. Buoys and skid piers are still in place.
  20. We had our Clean Marina recert inspection last Tues. We will be certified as a Clean Marina for the next 5 years.
