  12. Keep your scanner dust free, store it in or make a cover from, an old negative "dark bag". They are designed not to attract the dust!
  13. If a large amounts of photos get wet, freeze them. Then in batches, thaw, soak and separate in distilled water, then air dry them flat.
  14. Mentally preparing my stand at the Woking History fair at the end of the month.
  15. Photo Tip: Autumn evening sun is great light for landscape photography, catch the tree tops in the golden glow, it adds depth to the scene.
  16. Hand colouring with colour layers and blend modes at varying opacities, it just like paint with numbers only more sophisticated

  18. Scan in colour, even for a black and white photo restoration, there's vital detail in the colour channels we can use to our advantage.

  20. Examining prints made from a film where light leaked into the camera. Orange stripes and fogging, very challenging and tricky but do-able.
