  1. @nogbad @mweller those pie eaters sound like my kind of fellas
  2. @annegambles Id go with Ernest Hemingway - he had it as 'moveable' in 'A Moveable Feast' (wonderful book if you've not read it :-)
  3. @mweller yep! Wikipedia tells me Limahl from Kajagoogoo is from Wigan but I'm too shy shy, hush hush, eye to eye to go through with it now
  4. @mweller I'm about to watch too. I'd do the obligatory 'Your boys took a hell a beating...' tweet but I don't know anyone famous from Wigan
  5. The beard has come off, I repeat the beard is gone. For my next trick, I'm going to buy some cuban heels and go by the name of 'Maurice'.
  6. @serafinowicz 'The Shining'-a palpable sense of evil captured on film:'When my wife tried to prevent me from doing my duty, I corrected her'
  7. @misetak @peteskelley @dawnhallybone Excellent win, shame on me for not believing more; well done England - hopefully portentous!
  8. @peteskelley can't hide your ip or find a UK proxy? I know it's done but I haven't tried it myself successfully
  9. @misetak @dawnhallybone oh me of little faith - going well now - like the idea of Trott being 'dangerously reliable' :-)
  10. @misetak @dawnhallybone KP gone now, too. Watching a movie but keeping up-to-date via the BBC. I fear for England right now.
  11. Watching a French road movie, 'J'irai dormir à Hollywood' ('I will sleep in Hollywood'). Just right level of French to understand (mostly!)
  12. A visit to the market and it's rabbit pate for lunch. In my experience it's like the Hobbit's magical food: you could survive for days on it
  13. @dawnhallybone @misetak Hmm... not bad, but still 250 on the board. Pitch looks lively. See how the start goes...
  14. Editing photos when I should be in bed. Had a cracking day with the wonderful, marvellous, beautiful @jenniegreaney Feelin' lucky :-)
  15. Went to Le Grand-Bonnard, a ski town near Annecy. Beautiful spot. Took loads of pix - check out the 3d Google Map, too: http://bit.ly/87nPsN
  16. @sboneham haha made me laugh. In France persil is the name for parsley-you don't that type of fusion
  17. @misetak yes, Aggers gave it 'zilch' as a chance for a game this morning... pag
  18. @be_b ah, well, there's always next time: I bet you'll visit again, even though I know the loss of those precious photos won't be the same
  19. @peteskelley I don't mind faceless bureaucrats running things-at least they got the job on merit not spin. Although he's a 'safe bet' I hear
  20. Van Rompuy - almost worth resurrecting the 'Carry On' brand for the name alone. 'Carry On Up the European Council', anyone?
