  1. The Red Tory being dubbed a "philosopher king" an intimation of likely effects of impact agenda http://bit.ly/5OrzCJ
  2. @kjhealy Well, better than "How to Murder Mark Eli Kalderon"
  3. @keith_wilson That's consistent with their going down in the post-92 sector
  4. Reviewing the stats of my website, I see that someone got there with the search "Suicide Mark Eli Kalderon". Wishful thinking?
  5. Philosophy closures in post-92 Unis http://bit.ly/8pemAy
  6. @carriejenkins Either set the keyboard to the US layout or (in which case it is-shift 3) or use option-3 for hash
  7. Argh! My Sound Sticks stopped working. (Can they do that?) Guess I am not rocking out in the office today. :/
  8. @boonebgorges For that reason I have paired down my login items
  9. @keith_wilson Well the pigs in travis is an allusion to the Austin
  10. @mja :/
  11. Have work to do but very tempted to spend the morning reading Kant's 4th parallelogism.
  12. @keith_wilson Around page 114 or 115 where he says while no sentence is incorrigible there are utterances on occasions which are.
  13. @Neil_CB A lot of times public libraries provide athens access (at least they do in London). So get a library card.
  14. @AllieRaymond Ancient STD! lol
  15. @keith_wilson The plan, really, is just to defend the relevant bits in Austin's Sense and Sensibilia.
  16. @AidanMcGlynn @jichikawa Was going to claim that nothing gets established in philosophy but intuited the manifest facetiousness
  17. @jichikawa OK. My thought was meant to be that perceptual knowledge is not formed on the basis of the evidence of the senses.
  18. @jichikawa you don't see the fact that x is present you see x. I reckon perception to be a nonpropositional mode of awareness.
  19. @jichikawa If the latter then I know without evidence. OF course this knowledge can itself be evidence for other things...
  20. @jichikawa The idea is, I see x and can recognize x. Do I have evidence for x's presence, or is it merely evident?
