@ @ with poor kern tables. Personally I always recommend metric. Its the intended spacing for the design by the designer.

@ my main focus is to launch new fonts, it's been a while! 'Ive been 100% bespoke for 2-3yrs now. Done a few uni lectures though.

@ @ 'optical' is an Adobe auto generated algorithm which I have found to generate inconsistent kerning pairs...

@ @ ... 'metrics' is the kerning table made by the type designer to work with the fonts default letter spacing...
