  3. Under the weather but not too bad so spending Sunday pm catching up on emails. Staggered to get 15 immediate replies - makes you think!
  4. Just came across Changing of the Guard on way back to Heathrow. Fine sight Horse Guards riding across Hyde Park Corner. Unique London sight
  5. Just finished CIO connect. Message was you have to deliver cost savings and service quality. Then you can start talking about innovation
  6. Just about to give keynote at CIO Connect in Docklands opposite the Dome which looks magnificent
  7. Looking at the Tyne with Millenium Bridge Sage Baltic magnificent view and no fog atall
  8. Spoke at meeting this evening to group of CIOs - interesting there was massive scepticism about cloud computing mainly over security issues

  10. PS but no voice service on the BA flights so everyone who wants to can get a good night's sleep - that's if they are not tweeting!!!
  11. The A318 is also pretty cool like a large exec jet with lie flat beds - feels spacious and looks good
  12. I have texted my family and colleagues and now received and downloaded emails - it feels like a new era in connectivity

  14. Reflecting on American Revolution with regret I can't but feel that the Americans were Right and Romantic and the Brits Wrong and Repulsive.
  15. Now in New York and amazed to learn of the manouevrings between Washington and Howe in August 1776 in Boooklyn and Battle of Harlem Heights
  16. Now onto Yorktown where the British decisely defeated by Washington - with a little help from Lafayette and the French Navy...
  17. Visiting Colonial Williamsburg and Raleigh Tavern seat of Revolution in Virginia - impressed by seriousness of how it is all carried through
  18. Walking around Washington DC - cannot fail to be struck by the vistas and layout of city designed in the Enlightenment by Founding Fathers
  19. In Las Vegas on BA's great new service. Seeing Caesar's Palace and the Venetian I think both the ancient Romans and Venetians would approve
  20. Just about to enjoy BA's new route to Las Vegas
