  16. Why does the Nobel Prize for Literature always go to someone I've never heard of? Lessing was only exception. Clearly it's cos I'm ignorant.
  17. Apparently a Norwegian publisher turned down the chance 2 publish Wolf Hall. Think Mantel's agent will be fielding calls from Norway today?
  18. Going to Book Club to discuss last yr's fantastic Booker winner as this year's is announced. Haven't read any of the shortlist yet.
  19. Oh Lord. Now BBC Radio Foyle want me to do an interview this evening about living in Norway. Is this my new specialist subject?
