  1. Stay tuned for efforts to push for vetoes!
  2. The Oregon Legislature is rolling back progress on clean energy made in 2007 by weakening the RPS and chopping wind incentives.

  5. There's a hearing on HB 2940 that could dilute the RPS. Stay tuned but we may need to unleash grassroots opposition to stop that effort.
  6. The session is moving into close-down mode and we've got a lot of bills we're trying to get through.
  7. Days at the Capitol are getting even longer and going even faster.
  8. After some back and forth, SB 80 has been postponed until next week. SB 101, however, is still scheduled for Monday, 5/18 in Ways & Means.

  11. Gave a briefing on energy and utilities today to members of AKA, a traditional African-American sorority-guests of Sen. Carter.

  13. Today two important energy efficiency bills were up this AM in House Revenue: HB 2626 and HB 3199. Unanimous support across the board.
  14. Big stuff happening at the Capitol: SB 80 got out of committee yesterday...keep updated at www.hcporegon.org .
  15. It's also Interfaith Climate Advocacy Day, making the case that climate change is a moral issue.
  16. Change of pace today: testifying against HB 2504, a bad, anti-consumer telecom bill.
  17. We're going to work hard to have everything in shape for a hearing in a couple of weeks.
  18. A serious effort to hammer out the details on HB 2626 is well underway.
  19. Working out a lot of details on good bills pushing energy efficiency to make sure they work well and protect ratepayers.
  20. Finally Friday after a long week. But even a "slower" day is pretty busy.
