  1. Fire Department over budget by $4.7 million. http://bit.ly/1XNxPQ
  2. Fire Dept over budget by $4.7 million. Are the Chief and Mayor not managing the budget? How could this happen at taxpayers expense?
  3. Mayor Suttle averaging the overtime still inflates the salary for pension purposes and results in spiking.
  4. If the police can still retire at a pension higher than their salary, spiking still exists. Why not a 3 yr contract wo any wage hikes?
  5. A decline in State Revenue usually translates into lower sales tax revenue for the City of Omaha. Hopefully, our leaders are prepared.
  6. Just one week after raising prop taxes 10%, Mayor Suttle wants more of your $. He will pursue sales tax & garbage fee increases. Not good.
  7. Does Mayor Suttle represent the bond agencies or the taxpayers? Raising taxes was not a good idea and we are tired of him gloating about it.
  8. Councilman Franklin Thompson has some serious explaining to do to his constituents on why he voted to increase their tax bill.
  9. It was pretty disgusting watching Mayor Suttle actually clap and cheer in Council chambers when the Council voted to increase property taxes
  10. Sthothert, Festersen, Jerram, Thompson and Gernandt all voted for additional de facto prop tax increase by supporting bogus Satellite Plan.
  11. OPS raised its property tax levy by 1.5 cents last night making the Mayor's property tax increase all more devastating.
  12. Prediction: Jerram will put the satellite ordinance, the Mayor will not veto budget, gap will be replaced by additional prop. tax increase.
  13. Thank you Councilmembers Festersen and Stothert for not voting to raise our property taxes. Evident from last night, Sigerson is a leader.
  14. Let's not forget that this property increase started with Mayor Suttle. Gernandt, Jerram, Thompson and Gray just finished the job.
  15. Unfortunate that Franklin Thompson caved and our taxes will go up. Last night was not a fine example of leadership from a public body.
  16. Suttle and Gernandt are trying to box the City Council into voting for tax increases given the absence of Councilman Sigerson.
  17. If the City Council can not find a way to block Mayor Suttle's tax increases today then they need to postpone a week.
  18. OMAPAC wishes Councilman Chuck Sigerson good health and a speedy recovery. Omaha is thinking of you tonight.
  19. @senator20 Good news.
  20. The same thing happened with pools, CVB funding, police recruit class, retracting salaries of directors. A disturbing pattern going on.
